No, sadly, no camels this side of the pond. The only ones were imported to help the military navigate the Southwestern deserts in America in the early 1860s, and they were instructed by Hi Jolly (Hajj Ali) from the Middle East. But the venture didn't work out, and the camels were all released. But there are still rumors on occasion of someone running into a camel from that herd, roaming freely through the Southwestern deserts.
