Papa's Got a Brand New Bag

My dad is back, feeling better, and even alert and talking and awake. I picked him up this morning and he's been recuperating at home, excited to have returned. So we are bonding over politics and MSNBC, how Obama will save us, and what's wrong with the Republican Party. Everything's back to normal.

Islam is something I study intently to. I deliberate on an interesting concept in my latest piece. I read about it I think in Bernard Lewis' The Assassins. I read his stuff/ Edwards Said's Memoir was fantastic...Karen Armstrong et al (Islam. Muhammed, Buddha, The Fundamentalists, The Bible--all her stuff.) Those who see the draw to the desert may get finding our mystics in other arabias as well as arabia.
